The Tour de France tests the skill, determination and resolve of the hundreds of international riders. The grueling race takes place over three weeks, touring the villages and cities from the Alps to Nice. The first ride took place in 1903, and has been held annually ever since, interrupted only by the First and Second World Wars. For the first time ever, the 2007 race will begin in London and move through the countryside of England.
